Care Management Solutions
Besides receiving various cost containment services, our clients have the ability to choose from a wide-array of care management services. These services have the dual focus of both reducing and controlling costs for our clients, as well as providing our members the necessary information and tools they need to carry out health lifestyles. We believe that if the members receive personalized care and are engaged within the care they receive, they will become knowledgeable healthcare consumers and be in command of their own health.
The March of Dimes estimates that one out of eight babies born in the U.S. is born prematurely, and that these babies cost employers nearly fifteen times more than full-term babies in their first year of life. A Maternity Nurse Specialists will work with our members prior to delivery and up to six weeks after birth, providing monitoring, assessment and care planning for all risk-levels. This program not only helps members in having a healthy and successful birth, but greatly reduces the possibility of future complications and healthcare costs for both the members and employers.
24/7 Physician Consultants
According to the Wellness Councils of America, 70% of in-office doctor visits could be handled by a telephone call or an e-mail. Reducing these unnecessary visits can alleviate the financial burden of claims costs for an employer. This program allows our members to gain 24/7 access to Consult a Doctor’s network of licensed physicians by phone or secure e-mail. Members can speak with these doctors about any non-emergency health issues, and commonly treated conditions such as cold/flu, allergies, sinus infections, etc. 24/7 Physician Consultants reduces the amount of doctor and Emergency Room visits, while providing all the information members need to keep healthy.
24/7 Nurse Line
This program provides our members to contact specially trained nurses in order to discuss current illnesses, chronic conditions, or to get information from the Health Information Library that contains over 1,500 health topics that are available in both Spanish and English. This program was established to make sure members are informed to make better and more cost-effective health care decisions.
Integrated Behavioral Health
Integrated Behavioral Health is a one-of-a-kind management program that reduces unnecessary mental health claim costs by guiding members who will benefit from short-term behavioral health counseling to an Employee Assistance Program (EAP). For members with acute health conditions, the program refers them to the appropriate faculty within the plan’s network. This program helps eliminate potential mental health claims by sending members to the EAP.
